Orthodontics is of interest to many patients because misaligned and irregular teeth are one of the annoying things that most people face.

The misaligned appearance of teeth weakens the owner’s self-confidence, and makes him laugh or smile less to hide the appearance of his teeth, in addition to speech problems and rapid tooth decay resulting from crowding of teeth and their poor occlusion.

When all these symptoms appear, orthodontists must intervene to correct the defect and restore them to their correct arrangement again.

1. A tooth coming out of the natural alignment of the upper or lower jaw teeth.
2. A tooth being too large or small in size to match the size of the adjacent teeth.
3. The presence of spaces between the teeth due to some genetic diseases.
4. Defects of the upper and lower jaws, such as the difference in size of each of them, where the upper jaw is larger than the lower or vice versa, which leads to the problem of malocclusion, which in turn causes one of the jaws to protrude abnormally, affecting the patient’s appearance, and the way he pronounces and chews food.

The task of correcting these defects falls on the orthodontist, who realigns the teeth to their natural shape through brackets that are installed around the teeth of the jaws, which work to realign the patient’s teeth again and move them from their incorrect places.
